Homeowner Reports · The Exchange

Share what you wish you'd known earlier.

Your real experiences — what broke, what it cost, the quote that confused you, the call to repair or replace — become the lessons other homeowners get to learn the easy way. Reports are displayed anonymously and used only in aggregate.

What you can report

Appliance issues

Something acting up, failing, or behaving oddly.

Repair experiences

What was wrong, what was done, and how it went.

Maintenance problems

Upkeep that was harder, costlier, or more confusing than expected.

Warranty experiences

How a claim went — smooth, slow, denied, or surprising.

Utility spikes

A sudden jump in an electric, gas, or water bill.

Water leaks

Where it showed up and what it took to find and fix.

Service visit outcomes

How a technician visit went, start to finish.

Replacement decisions

What tipped you from repair to replace (or back).

Safety concerns

Anything that felt unsafe and how you handled it.

Why homeowner reports matter

One repair is a story. Hundreds of reports are a pattern — which systems tend to fail when, which maintenance habits actually pay off, and where homeowners get surprised. The more people share, the more useful the picture becomes for everyone.

Submissions may be reviewed before publishing, so the exchange stays clear, helpful, and respectful. Anything featured runs anonymously and only ever in aggregated form.
